Terms of Service
Effective 9 August 2026
The short version. PTCE Prep is a study tool. It does not promise you will pass, it is not medical advice, and it is not connected to the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Apple handles all payments, so cancellations and refunds go through Apple, not through us.
The rest of this page says the same things more carefully.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you download or use the PTCE Prep app. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. There is no account to create, so your use of the app is your acceptance.
What PTCE Prep is
PTCE Prep is an independent study aid for people preparing for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam. It provides practice questions, explanations, flashcards, mock exams, and a study plan built around the exam date you enter.
It is an educational product. Nothing in the app is medical, pharmaceutical, legal, or professional advice, and nothing in it should be relied on when treating a patient, dispensing medication, or making any clinical or professional decision. Always work from your employer's procedures, current law, and current manufacturer information.
No affiliation with the PTCB
PTCE Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. PTCB and PTCE are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the app helps you prepare for.
We do not administer the exam, register you for it, or have any influence on your result. Registration, eligibility, fees, and scoring are matters between you and the PTCB.
No guarantee of a result
We do not promise that you will pass. Nobody honestly can. The pass-probability figure in the app is an estimate calculated from your own answers, shown to help you decide where to spend your time — it is not a prediction, not a guarantee, and has no standing with the PTCB.
Accuracy, and telling us when we are wrong
We check questions against the PTCB content outline and print a source on every explanation so you can verify it. Even so, regulations change and errors happen. If you find something wrong, use “Report an issue” on the question. We would rather hear it than not.
Where the app and a current official source disagree, the official source is correct.
Subscriptions and payment
Access is sold through the App Store. Prices, trial lengths, and renewal periods are whatever is shown to you in the app at the time of purchase, and payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation.
A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered and you buy a subscription during it, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings on your device, under your Apple Account subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription on its own.
Refunds
Because Apple processes every payment, we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests go to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple's decision governs.
If something has gone wrong, email us anyway — we may be able to help, and we would like to know.
What you may and may not do
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own exam preparation.
Please do not copy, republish, sell, or redistribute the questions, explanations, or flashcards; try to extract the question bank in bulk; reverse-engineer the app except where the law permits it; or use the app in a way that breaks the law or the PTCB's own rules, including during an actual exam.
Our content
The questions, explanations, design, and code are ours or licensed to us, and remain so. These terms do not transfer ownership of anything.
Availability and changes
We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will say so in the app.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the effective date above, and material changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect.
Liability
The app is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be completed before publishing], and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
