Privacy Policy
Effective 9 August 2026
The short version. PTCE Prep does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics. Everything you do in the app — your exam date, your answers, your streak, your saved questions — stays on your device. We cannot see it, because it is never sent anywhere.
This policy explains that in full.
What stays on your device
When you use PTCE Prep, the app saves your study record locally, in the app's own storage on your iPhone:
- The exam date you set, and the study plan built from it
- How many hours a week you committed to, and which days
- Your diagnostic result and every question you have answered
- Sessions you have completed, and your streak
- Questions you have saved to review
- Your reminder preference and the time you chose
This information never leaves your phone. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other identifying information. We do not ask you to create an account.
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not use advertising identifiers, cookies, pixels, or any other tracking technology. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build a profile of you.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not have any to sell.
The app contains no third-party software development kits.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment is made to Apple, not to us. We never see your card details, your billing address, or your Apple Account.
To know whether you have an active subscription, the app asks iOS on your device. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy, at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Notifications
If you turn on study reminders, they are scheduled locally by your iPhone. There is no push server and no device token. We do not know whether you received a reminder, opened it, or ignored it.
You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's Settings, or in the iOS Settings app.
If you contact us
If you email us — for example using “Report an issue” on a question — we receive your email address and whatever you write, including the question reference the app adds automatically. We use it only to reply and to correct the content you told us about. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Children
PTCE Prep is intended for adults preparing for a professional certification exam. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. Your study data is already entirely in your hands: it lives on your device, and deleting the app removes it permanently.
We have no data to disclose, and no way to identify you if you asked.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes what it does with data, we will update this page and change the effective date above before the change takes effect.
